The 'Book page' node type is possibly one of the most powerful features on this web site.
From the help file: "A book is a collaborative writing effort: users can collaborate writing the pages of the book, positioning the pages in the right order, and reviewing or modifying pages previously written. So when you have some information to share or when you read a page of the book and you didn't like it, or if you think a certain page could have been written better, you can do something about it."
From the help file: "A blog is a regularly updated journal or diary made up of individual posts shown in reversed chronological order. Each member of the site may create and maintain a blog."
Use a 'Blog entry' for all posts of a more personal nature, like:
So you have chosen to Create Content and are now confronted by a bewildering array of 'content type' choices?
On the following pages we will have a closer look at the 'content types' available and how to choose the right one.

In politics you should always be able to determine easily who said what and when. Also, on this web site, documents (posts) are listed in chronological order. Newest first.
Hence it is important to be able to maintain the original document's publication date and time regardless of when it may actually be posted to the web site.
Note that the format of the date and time must precisely follow the legend shown: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS +1000.

Please add a child page to record the various aspects of the 2007 Federal Election in your electorate.
Endorsed candidates elected into office and voted by their peers into leadership positions will hold office for two terms only, the position then becomes vacant and a new leader is elected, this applies to Federal and State Government as well as the party executive. (Prime Minister, Premiers and all Party Presidents (Branch, State and Federal) this will to some extent address the problem of cronyism.
All elected members must represent the electorate first and foremost and be independent from the party in the parliament; members will vote on conscience or at the direction of the electorate, this is an essential part of the new party structure and will be the cornerstone of our concept.
Southern Cross will be seeking support from the Australian people to represent them at all levels of Government, Federal, State and Local, we believe that the Australian way of life is under threat and we are losing our heritage, current political parties are ‘self serving’ where the elected members are puppets of the party machine and the wishes of the people of Australia are being ignored, Southern Cross will reverse that.
Southern Cross will reduce the size of the public service over a ten year period, this will be carried out by natural attrition, we will amalgamate some departments and remove others, this downsizing will produce less government administration and more available revenue for services such as health, education, law enforcement and a host of other projects, this will not mean a reduction in government employment rather a reassignment of human resources from administration to service providers i.e. Doctors, Nurses, Police Officers, Teachers etc.
The book 'Party Platform' is a collaborative effort between Southern Cross party members to create and maintain the best and most informative party platform in Australia .
Make a new node (book page - chapter) for each piece of proposed legislation.
Chapters may have 'child pages' (sub chapters) to help cover all aspects of the proposed legislation.
Authenticated users may also place 'Comments' below each node and so encourage a lively discussion.
Bravo for Independents. Those of us who truly support our communities first, believe party machines have taken their toll on democracy in this country. Party machines serve to keep governments in power at the cost of true democracy. It is party bureaucrats and elites using the whip of party discipline that demand politicians tow the party line rather than be true to their principles or their electorates. Just think of Peter Garrett as a primary example of the corruption of political principle for the sake of power.

Queensland Government backbencher Cate Molloy says she will cross the floor in Parliament and vote against the proposal for a dam on the Mary River near Gympie.
At the end of what she described as a "torrid" day, Ms Molloy says she knows her decision to cross the floor - if it comes to that - will probably result in her being expelled from the Labor Party.
