A good sign

Ten years ago I sailed away from Australian shores vowing never to return, I have lived and worked in many countries and met many Australians doing the same. When meeting Aussies in other countries there is never political argument, we all agree that the bureaucratic interference, the rules and regulations and the tax system in Australia is way way over the top.
I am pleased to see the development of The Southern Cross Party and wish you all the best. I shall be studying your progress, perhaps one day I will wish to sail back to Australia without fear of becoming the victim of the bureaucratic excesses. Keep up the good work.

Southern Cross Party Ltd is fair dinkum

Southern Cross Party Ltd is now in a position to take Membership Applications and call for expressions of interest from potential Candidates in every electorate, State and Federal.

I encourage all visitors to our website to read and study the Structure of the new Party, we prefer to call Southern Cross Party Ltd a new ‘Political Initiative’ as we are acutely aware that the ‘Party’ system we currently have is ‘self serving’ and ignores the wishes of the people in favour of party politics.

Under the present political system it is nearly impossible to contest Government unless you are in a ‘Political Party’ therefore we at Southern Cross Party Ltd developed a ‘structure’ that guarantees true democracy and still stays in the framework of a Political Party for the purpose of the exercise.

I am often asked what the Policies of Southern Cross Party Ltd are, my answer is that we are not that arrogant and bombastic that we will go to the people with predetermined policies that have no input from the Australian people, the members of Southern Cross Party Ltd are fair dinkum about bringing back democracy, we need to change the mindset of the Australian people to not have to choose between the best or worse of advertised Party Policy that is forgotten as soon as the election is over.

What Southern Cross Party Ltd is offering is the Pledge, the pledge is a precursor to policy and was developed to help people understand the issues Southern Cross Party Ltd will address when we win Government; the list is an indication of what we wish to see changed, fixed or introduced and will be added to as required by the people of Australia.

Policy will be put in place by the elected members of Southern Cross Party Ltd in the parliament not in the Party room, the choice is very clear you either vote for Party Politics under the ‘Two Party preferred system’ or vote for Democracy with Southern Cross Party Ltd.
At least you now have a choice.

The new Southern Cross Party Ltd is the product of Grass roots people it is a peoples party in the truest sense, it is your party and you will determine what the direction of policy will be, we are only setting down the frame work for something new and different to what is on offer now. if you become part of that process you can make a difference, I'm sure that the 'Two Party Preferred' system is not working as they serve the party machine not the Australian people, we wish to put democracy back into the hands of the people, we will not be 'self serving'.

Pauline Hanson is not in any way involved with Southern Cross Party Ltd.
In answer to the points you raise I point out that the Pledge is a platform for policy, not policy, as the architect of the new party structure we need to start somewhere and most of the points in the pledge are my own, they are designed to spark debate on issues talked about around the country every day.
The important part of Southern Cross Party Ltd is the new party structure, and you need to understand the fundamental changes that set us apart from the present political parties, I encourage you to go back and study the structure, that is the important part of what we are trying to achieve.
I have responded to this post to clear up your concerns about who or what we are about, anonymous posts will not always generate a response from myself in the future.

Re: Why don't you have comments on your Pledge?

As the webmaster, I shall limit my answer to the question raised in the title/subject of your post about 'Why don't you have comments on your Pledge?'... The answer is simple: It was decided to invite comments on this site AFTER several posts had already been made.

The content of this web site is dynamic and will continuously change in response to the input from candidates, policy developers, web site editors, party members and members of the public.

We hope that you will re-visit at some stage and agree with us that the Southern Cross Party web site reflects a genuine attempt at participatory democracy.

If you have ideas for the web site, please post those ideas here, too.

Thank you for your comments.
