Ensure that all elected members will represent the electorate first and foremost and be independent from the party in the parliament; members will vote on conscience on every issue or at the direction of the electorate, and will not be bound by party politics, this is an essential part of the new party structure.

Prioritize funding for Medical Services, Education and Law Enforcement to address declining standards in government services.

Address numeracy and literacy standards in our education system and develop a curriculum to better reflect industry and workplace skills and requirements.

Support balanced industrial relations, a fair days pay for a fair days work, put in place incentives to encourage individuals to work in any capacity in preference to social security.

Support Union representation for the workers right to strike where voting to strike will be by secret ballot only.

Defend all Australian citizens in their endeavours to acquire Business, Social and Political justice at no financial disadvantage to themselves, unless proven guilty.

Legislate that all legal services provided by law firms and other legal entities for indigenous people will be free of charge, or as a community service.

Introduce legal platforms that will protect and support victims of crime, and remove diminished responsibility as a tool for defence.

Remove all taxes and government charges that are an impediment on employment. (Payroll Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax etc)

Modify workplace accident liability by the employer; to reflect where the true liability is proven, personal responsibility will be incumbent on the individual employee or their representative to ensure a safe work environment.

Support all Australians right to defend their families and protect their property by such means as is deemed necessary without fear of prosecution.

Legislate to make parents responsible for their children’s actions by law. (minors only, i.e. not legally an adult)

Southern Cross Party will introduce an Aged care and War Veteran benefits that reflect comfortable and dignified living standards.

Review all child care and baby bonuses to reflect community requirements.

Legislate against the moving of jobs to third world countries by multi-national companies to maximize profit at the expense of Australian jobs.

Re-introduce tariffs on all imported goods that compete with Australian products and promote fair trade not free trade.

Reverse deregulation and discontinue the sale of profitable public assets,

Media laws will be reviewed to take into account small operations in rural Australia.

Promote decentralization for manufacturing and industry.
