The 'Book page' node type is possibly one of the most powerful features on this web site.
From the help file: "A book is a collaborative writing effort: users can collaborate writing the pages of the book, positioning the pages in the right order, and reviewing or modifying pages previously written. So when you have some information to share or when you read a page of the book and you didn't like it, or if you think a certain page could have been written better, you can do something about it."
If your post is intended to be added to the outline of one of the publications on this web site you would choose a 'Book page' node type.
When you choose to post using a 'Book page' node type, you know in advance that other Members of your Group and Editors will edit and improve, create new revisions and generally spit and polish until the post is just perfect.
When you consider that your post for starters is perfectly private and only visible to subscribers of those Groups YOU choose and only made public once everyone that matters agrees that the post is perfect, you realise what a powerful collaborative tool we have access to here.
No more late night, boring policy development meetings keeping you away from your family and friends, now you can work on policy development when it suits you best.
